In this episode of Out of the Office, we’re joined by disability justice advocate and social impact entrepreneur Lauren Goldberg to dive into a critical and often overlooked conversation: disability, inclusive language, and neurodiversity in the workplace.
Using The Office episode “Goodbye, Toby” (Season 4, Episode 18) as a lens, we unpack how ableism shows up in everyday interactions—from infantilizing disabled individuals to the harmful use of terms like "special." Together, we explore why language matters, how society creates barriers, and how workplaces can move towards real inclusivity by honouring diverse needs.
Whether you’re leading teams, creating policies, or just curious about fostering a more accessible world, this episode will provide key insights and actionable takeaways for championing disability inclusion with confidence and care. Listen now for a conversation that’s equal parts eye-opening and empowering!
